- (1949- )Born at Gorseinon, Glamorgan, he was educated at Essex University. A former journalist, he now lives in Swansea and is a free-lance writer, lecturer and broadcaster. His early work can be found, with that of Tony Curtis and Duncan Bush (see entries), in Three Young Anglo-Welsh Poets (1974). He has published plays, a monograph on John Tripp in the Writers of Wales series, and Gwalia in Khasia (1995), a book on the influence of Welsh missionaries in northeast India. He co-edited the anthology GlasNos: Poems for Peace/Cerddi Dros Heddwch (1987) and Thirteen Ways of Looking at Tony Conran (see entry) (1995). Footsore on the Frontier (2001) is a selection of his essays and articles. He has won two Welsh Arts Council bursaries and five literary awards. Some of his poetry publications: Song and Dance, 1981.
